Comments: several greens have excessive winter spots, especially # 2 & #10, otherwise, course is in usual fine condition

Comments: I am a member of Ainsdale. The most important features of the course are the very sloped and quite speedy greens, and the almost ever present strong wind that blows. The par 3's on the front are very different from the blues, much tougher than whites. The par 5 9th is a challenging tee shot, and usually plays into the breeze. The front nine is characterized by short par 4's where placing of the tee shot is more important than distance. The back 9 has 3 par 5's, and if the first 2 holes can be negotiated, is easier to score on.
