Comments: Definitely the best of the municipal courses. Picturesque. $59 peak rate seems a bit steep until you consider the location, the reasonably good layout and conditions, and the price of similar courses. At times you won't even know you're in the middle of the city (ignore the pesky 401 after the 1st hole). I saw a deer and 2 fawns on hole #2 a few weeks ago. Don't be fooled by the flat front-9. The back-9 can be a challenge to walk and is pretty wicked on a hot sumemr day. Hole #14 is a killer. This is understandably a busy course so to get a good tee time you need to book early. As was stated earlier, times after 12 can result in a loooong game. The clubhouse is good for a beer afterward, but not meals. Very friendly staff.

Comments: For a municipal course in the middle of a large city that gets a tremendous amount of play, Don Valley is great. The greens were faster a fewyears ago, but it looks like they slowed them down to help the pace of play, which does become a problem. Unfortunately, the course is too difficult from the back tees for a lot of players. Too many people look at the yardage of the blues and not at the difficulty.

Comments: Play here every day, and it starts to get really boring. Greens are slow, but they cant be sped up due to the number of people that play it everyday. The course makes you use a lot of different shots and its fun to play the first 50 times. Would recommend this course to anybody who wants to get out and play for $50 and its in a great location. Pace of play is pretty bad mid day because that is when the junior members golf so you might get caught up behind a foursome of 12 year olds.

Comments: This course is obviously not the best course in metro toronto, ever heard of private course! This is though a nice course for the general public if you don't mind 18 hole rounds that take 6 HOURS! and a marshall who has no idea what they are doing. Overall its a decent layout, but little rough around the greens
