Postcard from Long Island (Day Two): Creek Club, Engineers

I’m going to provide some details on my entire trip later today and tomorrow, but in the meantime, here are some photos from CB Macdonald’s Creek Club and Herbert Strong’s Engineers, two lesser-known gems on Long Island.

The remarkable 300-yard fifth hole at Engineers on Long Island -- one of the best short two-shot holes I've ever seen.

I know Lakeview has changed much over the years, but did you notice any similarities between it and Engineers? I guess both a ‘2 or 20′ hole.

Matt – similar use of the land. Engineers might be a bolder site, and there is a little 2-and-20 hole there. I haven’t played Lakeview — just walked a few holes, so I can’t rightfully comment much beyond that.

Robert, it seems like you are quite enamored with Long Island.
Are these courses mostly private or public or semi ?
Your pics are excellent too by the way, keep em coming.
