Angus Glen Golf Club - South Course
| Welcome
to Angus Glen Golf Course, proud host of the 2002 – 2007 Bell
Canadian Open as well as the 2001 Telus SKINS Game and the
2001 Bank of Montreal Canadian Women's Open.
The praise heaped upon the Angus Glen Golf Club has grown steadily since it opened its doors in 1995. The vision of the late Arthur Stollery - to build a golf course that is not only Nationally recognized but also good enough to test the world's greatest golfers, has truely become to be a reality. Angus Glen is not only one of the best courses in the Greater Toronto area, but it is also one of best in Canada. The story started in 1957. Arthur Stollery started his family farm, to be renowned for producing top Angus Cattle and Thoroughbred Horses, by purchasing a 230 acre plot at the NW corner of Major Mackenzie Dr. and Kennedy Road near the town of Unionville. His passion for the game of golf eventually led him to dream of building a golf course along the farm in the scenic Bruce Creek valley. They broke ground in 1992, to begin transforming the lands that once occupied horse paddocks and grazing fields into what would become Angus Glen Golf Club's first course. |

The biggest title this country has to offer was bestowed on Angus Glen in May 2000. The RCGA and PGA Tour announced that it would host two Canadian Opens in 2002 and 2007. The original Angus Glen South layout played host to the 2002 Bell Canadian Open, won by John Rollins over Neal Lancaster. The new North Course, which opened in spring 2001, will play host to the tournament in 2007. The new North Course is a collaborative effort between noted Canadian designer Doug Carrick (King Valley, Greystone, Osprey Valley) and American Jay Morrish (Troon G&CC, Loch Lomond, TPC Scottsdale). New land was secured at the north end of the property to house the course. A new 50,000 sq. ft. clubhouse was constructed in time for the 2001 Telus Skins game, played on the North Course, which featured Canada's Mike Weir, David Duval, Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia. Angus Glen GC joined an elite group of courses who have hosted our National Open Championship including Glen Abbey, Royal Montreal, Hamilton GCC and Mississaugua GCC. Angus Glen is a must play for any avid golfer, when in the Toronto area call 905-887-5157 for tee times.
