Slains Castle near Cruden Bay Golf Club

June 1st, 2008
By Jeff Lancaster

Slains Castle is an imposing ruined castle sitting on the coast about a kilometer east of Cruden Bay Golf Club north of Aberdeen.

As far as local sites to check out while in the area to play Cruden Bay this is certainly one to check out. Incidentally Bram Stoker spent summers here are the eery mood around Slains Castle apparently was part of his inspiration for writing Dracula.
